One-Mindfully

Do one thing at a time.

Purpose

Helps reduce overwhelm by placing your attention on one activity, thought, or moment.

How to use it

1 Choose one thing Pick one task, sensation, conversation, or activity.
2 Put your attention there Let that one thing be the focus.
3 Notice distractions When attention moves away, notice it without judgment.
4 Return gently Bring your attention back to the one thing.

Example

Instead of eating while scrolling your phone, just eat and notice the taste, texture, and movement.

One-minute focus

  • Pick one simple activity.
  • Do only that activity for one minute.

Tips

  • Start with very short periods of practice.
  • The goal is returning attention, not perfect focus.

Common pitfalls

  • Trying to force concentration
  • Giving up when distracted
  • Doing too much at once
